Julus terrestris is a species of millipede from the Julidae family. It was described by Linnaeus in 1758 and can be found in Austria, the Baltic states, Belarus, Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Ukraine, Scandinavia (except Norway ), and all states of former Yugoslavia (except Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, and Slovenia ).

Julussdalen is a small valley in the municipalities of Elverum and Åmot, in the Norwegian county of Hedmark. There are scattered settlements in the valley, especially in the lower part of Elverum. Julussdalen has many historic farms with cabins, mills and mountain pastures.
