Christopher Deshun Jones (born July 3, 1994) is an American football defensive tackle for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Mississippi State University, and was drafted by the Chiefs in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
JaVale Lindy McGee (born January 19, 1988) is an American professional basketball player for Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was selected 18th overall by the Washington Wizards in the 2008 NBA draft. He is a two-time NBA champion, having won consecutive titles with the Golden State Warriors in 2017 and 2018 before signing with the Lakers.
Joseph Atherton Gilman was an All-American football player at Harvard University. A native of Honolulu, Hawaii, Gilman attended Exeter before enrolling at Harvard. As a freshman, Gilman played on Harvard's freshman football team. In his third year at Harvard, he was declared ineligible due to poor academic performance. He returned to Harvard in 1915 and "came through in a marvelously gritty manner, winning his old position at tackle back and eventually winning the choice on all the leading selections for All-American tackles." Gilman was the first football player from Hawaii to be named as an All-American. In December 1915, as a reward for his "plucky comeback," Gilman was voted by his teammates as captain of Harvard's 1916 football team. In March 1916, after being selected as captain, Gilman was expelled by Harvard's Administrative Board due to poor academic performance.
Old Pal was a line of tackle boxes produced by the Woodstream Corporation from the 1950s to the 1980s in Lititz, Pennsylvania. The Old Pal tackle box appeared on the television show Emergency! , and was used as the drug box throughout the show. Old Pal tackle boxes came in many sizes and materials; some were metal and the later models were hard durable plastic. Many of the boxes can be found circulating through the auction website Ebay. One notable owner is Disastrous the famous Scotch actor, fisherman, sailor, and (rarely mentioned) bandsman.
The American Tackle Football Federation of the Philippines (ATFFP) is the governing body of American football and tackle football in the Philippines. ATFFP was founded by Bernardo "Dodi" Palma II. The sporting body also manages the Philippines national American football team. It formerly organized ArenaBall Philippines, a local American football league which later became the Philippines Tackle Football League. This league folded in 2015 and has subsequently been replaced by the Philippine-American Football League.
Mike Adams (born March 10, 1990) is an American football Offensive Tackle who is currently a free agent. He played college football at Ohio State and was named first-team all Big Ten in 2010. Adams was considered to be one of the best offensive tackles of his draft class.
John Nathan Henderson (born January 9, 1979), nicknamed Big John or Big Hen, is a former football defensive tackle who played ten seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the University of Tennessee and was a two-time consensus All-American. The Jacksonville Jaguars chose him in the first round of the 2002 NFL Draft, and he was selected for the Pro Bowl twice.
