    Katha Pollitt (born October 14, 1949) is an American poet, essayist and critic. She is the author of four essay collections and two books of poetry. Her writing focuses on political and social issues from a left-leaning perspective, including abortion, racism, welfare reform, feminism, and poverty.

    Paramanandayya Sishyula Katha (transl. story of Paramanandayya's students) is a 1966 Indian swashbuckling adventure film, produced by Thota Subba Rao under the Sridevi Productions banner and directed by C. Pullayya. It stars N. T. Rama Rao, K. R. Vijaya with music composed by Ghantasala. The film was earlier made in Telugu in 1950 as Paramanandayya Sishyulu starring Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Lakshmi Rajyam in pivotal roles. The movie was remade in Kannada in 1981 as Guru Shishyaru .

    O Seeta Katha (Telugu: ఓ సీత కథ) is a 1974 Indian Telugu -language feature film directed by K. Viswanath. The film won the Nandi Award for Best Feature Film (Silver), and the Filmfare Best Film Award (Telugu). The film was later remade both in Malayalam and Tamil languages. Kamal Hassan played the antagonist in the Malayalam version, (Mattoru Seetha ) while Rajinikanth played the same role in the Tamil version, (Moondru Mudichu ). The film was screened at the Asian and African film Festival at Tashkent.

Nagi Reddy and Aluri Chakrapani under their banner Vijaya Vauhini Studios. Partially inspired by William Shakespeare's comedy The Taming of the Shrew , Gundamma Katha is an official remake of the Kannada film Mane Thumbida Hennu (1958). It is also the first remake by Vijaya Vauhini Studios. It features N. T. Rama Rao, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Savitri, and Jamuna in the lead roles, and S. V. Ranga Rao, Suryakantam and Ramana Reddy in supporting roles.
